The Reverend Mike Cassidy talks to us today about the parable of the workers in the vineyard and asks where we might be in the queue of those waiting for their reward for their days labours. The reading Mike refers to is Jonah Ch 3:10 to Ch 4:11 and Matthew 20:1-16

Following a short opening prayer, Methodist Minister, the Reverend Albert Moseley talks to us about how God works through us if we follow Him to bring goodness to triumph over evil in the most difficult of circumstances.  He cites how Dresden and its community has been rebuilt after the dreadful bombing in the Second World War, how Deitrich Bonhoeffer led a life of love and devotion despite being arrested and tortured and how China has seen a huge re-surgence in Christian faith in recent times with some churches in Shanghai getting congregations of over 4000 people three times on a Sunday.  He served for nearly 13 years as a missionary in Zimbabwe.

Revd Mike Cassidy talks to us today about St John Chapter 14 and takes as his subject the simple statement from Jesus recorded in that Gospel that he is the way, the truth and the life.

In his Easter service, Revd David Palmer tells us about the campaign for a better life for chicks and hens and how the bible talks to us of how we could live a new life with God unfettered by the artificial man-made "battery" cages and restrictions we surround our lives with and limit our understanding too.

In this Palm Sunday sermon, rev Mark Cheetham talks about the welcome that Jesus received and how we view that event in comparison with liberation events in our modern world

In todays service, Rev David Palmer, our Superintendent Minister, reads from his own literal translation of St John's Gospel Chapter 3 verses 1 to 21 and tell us about how he came to choose God at a pivotal time in his life and how Abraham in the Old Testament and then Nicodemus in the New Testament was called upon by God.

The Reverend Derek Softley talks to us today about the Baptism of Jesus.  He stands in today for the Reverend Alan Tongue who is very ill in hospital at the moment.  We ask all who listen to this to remember Alan Tongue, his wife Eileen and the rest of his family in their prayers.

In a special anniversary service, local preacher Mr Colin Dougherty gives a service 60 years in the same church as he did at his first service as preacher 60 years ago to the month - in January 1948.  He is a remarkable 83 years old.

Colin is reknowned for saying prayers and preaching from the heart without notes, truly a gift from God.

You will hear his special opening address, a short commemoration presentation to him of the engraver Gustav Dore's "Scenes from the Bible", his extempore prayers of adoration and intercession and his sermon on the theme.

He uses as his theme, when the greek visitors said "Sir We Would See Jesus" and reflects on what people see in us as Christians as they enter our churches and poses the question, "Do they see Jesus in us?"

On this second Sunday in Advent, Mr Ted Tullett leads us in worship and talks to us about the wonder of the Lord God, our Light of the world.  In this service you will also hear a sung acapella Caribbean Lords Prayer.  This is Ted Tullett's last service in the Leicester South Circuit before he moves to West Sussex where he is retiring to.  We all wish him the very best for the future..  We will miss him very much and do hope our technology plans will allow us to continue to hear his wonderful ministry through this website.  Do pray with us for his wonderful ministry to continue to be heard.
