circumstances. He cites how Dresden and its community has been rebuilt
after the dreadful bombing in the Second World War, how Deitrich
Bonhoeffer led a life of love and devotion despite being arrested and
tortured and how China has seen a huge re-surgence in Christian faith
in recent times with some churches in Shanghai getting congregations of
over 4000 people three times on a Sunday. He served for nearly 13

Sun, 13 January 2008 In a special anniversary service, local preacher Mr Colin Dougherty gives a service 60 years in the same church as he did at his first service as preacher 60 years ago to the month - in January 1948. He is a remarkable 83 years old. Colin is reknowned for saying prayers and preaching from the heart without notes, truly a gift from God. You will hear his special opening address, a short commemoration presentation to him of the engraver Gustav Dore's "Scenes from the Bible", his extempore prayers of adoration and intercession and his sermon on the theme. He uses as his theme, when the greek visitors said "Sir We Would See Jesus" and reflects on what people see in us as Christians as they enter our churches and poses the question, "Do they see Jesus in us?"
